Welcome!

The Rising Wolf Kitchen blog has been born. Actually it was born a couple of years ago, but after a long hiatus, I've decided to once again revive it, along with any other culinary adventures I may want to share. Writing comes first, but my love for the culinary arts hasn't waned. 

Here there are no boundaries - only massive amounts of delectable enjoyment (and yes, a few calories along the way). So look for a plethora of delights to come on this blog including stories, recipes, tips from me (and from the experts), cookbook reviews and more! 

I'll be sharing recipes I've shared in previous years, but because this is a new blog, and new site, I'll be re-sharing a lot of recipes. You'll also notice a few posts from time spent in other regions. I hope you'll enjoy sharing in my culinary adventures.

Yes, this is MK, the 'Writer in the Kitchen'. 

Why do I do this?: Simply because I enjoy it. I have a full time job, and a lot of part-time businesses. If I'm not in the kitchen, I'm at the computer, in the garden, snowshoeing with my pup, swimming in the lake, hiking a mountain, writing one of my books, or reading a good book by the fire. I try to fit it all in, I really do and some days I succeed - other days I don't. In the end, it's all just so much fun.

Where did the name come from: Rising Wolf is the name of a mountain in the Lewis Range above Two Medicine Lake in Glacier National Park just north of where I call home in Montana.
